Hi!

From looking at the picture above you probably guessed what I'll be writing about in this blog post. Unity, the same game developing engine that makes me feel great about myself when I understand what I'm doing and getting things done correctly and also making me go crazy when things start do go downhill! What was the outcome of this weeks tutorial? Did I have a breakdown or did I succeed? You'll have to stick around to find out!

Surprise! I didn't have a breakdown. I probably should have put this later on in the blog, you know so that you read the whole thing. But, I won't clickbait you like that. That's what that's called right? Anyways, here's the rundown. This weeks tutorials were fine. In fact, they were way better than last weeks! Why? Video. Following a video based tutorial is so much better because you get to follow step by step exactly what the person that is teaching is doing. Although last weeks tutorial went well, I much rather follow video tutorials as I find tutorials like last week ones hard to follow. I lose focus when reading large amounts of text and my attention span is already bad as it is!

The tutorials were easy to follow and this week I got to learn how to make a curser and a weapon. It was really interesting to once again go into Unity and learn how to make new things. Things that I'll actually use in my game. But, nothing is ever simple in Unity. Making the weapon took me a while because to make the weapon you have to animate and record it so that it moves to where you want it to be etc.

In conclusion, the tutorials went well, they were easy to follow and I got to make all the new things in real time as I was watching them. I'm looking forward to more video tutorials in the future.
Thanks for reading.
