Hi

The following are articles which I have read all about the design process.
 - The Early Stages of Game Design
 - Design Considerations by Greg Aleknevicus

The Early Stages of Game Design
The first reading titled 'The Early Stages of Game Design' went thought and outlined what we have to take in consideration when making a game. Thinking like idea generation and prototyping. The reading then mentions how we will learn more about the design process and all the different components involved as the modules progresses.

Design Consideration
The second article titled 'Design Considerations' written by Greg Aleknevicus dives into the rules, specifically the rules for good design. As the articles progresses its divided into sections and the first sections talks about components, Greg gives advice on making tiles smaller than the spaces they are placed upon or use shapes as well as colour to distinguish piece, this makes things clearer.
The second sections talked about the box which surprisingly to me uses a variety of different design elements for a game.

Continuing on, Greg makes interesting points under his cards section when he mentions how the design process behind cards is not all that simple. He gives pointers to use white boarders and use large indicators when designing cards.

Lastly Greg talks about rules and this part I've enjoyed. He mentions how rules in games seem to be the easy task but in fact are the most difficult procedure to get right. But, he gives points on how to make this process easier with things likes not making intentionally vauge rules and including a detailed list of components. To summarise his articles, Greg mentions to always include extra components as replacements, support your game online and make replacement parts available.
Thanks for reading.
